its almost 2:30 am… and i can’t figure out what to write for the last sentence of my final paper for international politics and security class. hopefully i’ll figure it out by noon tomorrow, which is when the paper is due. the next 36 hours are going to be brutal. in addition to the 7-pager due at noon, i have a 15-page research paper on China’s economy due at 5pm tomorrow, an accounting final exam from 8am-11am on wed, and a take-home statistics final due at 5pm on wed. doesn’t look like there will be much time for sleep in there.
i’m actually not as stressed out as i should be, and i think it’s because of the wedding i attended on saturday. my cousin george (from my dad’s side of the family) got married in san jose on saturday and it was a beautiful ceremony. i grew up right across from george, his sister anna, and my uncle and aunt in taiwan. he is only 2 months older than me, so went spent a lot of time playing together. it was amazing to see him standing up there getting married and i was so happy for him. the best part was that the wedding managed to bring my whole family together – the first time all the cousins have seen each other. Anna, the eldest, flew in from new zealand with her husband and 2 year old baby elijah. duncan (+gf) came from portland, my brother and kelly (+fiancee) from chicago, christie (+bf) from michigan, stephen and kenny from texas, and me(+nick) from san diego. it reminded me of how great family is… and kind of put things into perspective: grades really aren’t the most important things in life.
no matter what, the next 36 hours will pass and this quarter will end, whether i’m prepared or not. i’ll just have to do my best and see what happens. in the meantime, i’m going to upload some pics of my beautiful family
